This privacy policy sets out how Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL), trading as Salvationist Publishing & Supplies (SP&S), uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website and our commitment to ensure that your privacy is protected. What we collect

• Payment and subscription details when you subscribe (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our servers).

• Usage data needed to run the service: for example listening and viewing activity (such as tracks played and progress), favourites, playlists, queue, and device identifiers used to enforce streaming limits.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and similar diagnostics collected when you use the site or when we log errors (see below).
• If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive information from that provider (such as your email address and name) according to your settings with them and the permissions you grant.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and for the following reasons:

• To create and manage your account, authenticate you, stream on-demand audio and video, and provide subscription or complimentary access.
• To process subscriptions and payments (including free trials and renewals) via our payment provider.
• Internal record keeping.
• To improve our products and services.
• If you opt in when you sign up, we may send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information you may find interesting, using the email address which you have provided. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by updating your preferences.
• To send service emails (such as sign-in codes and subscription receipts) where necessary for the service.
• From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for relevant market research purposes. We may contact you by email.
• To customise the website according to your interests.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse (including concurrent stream limits), and fix faults (see cookies and error monitoring below).

How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run SAmusicplay and remember your choices. Essential cookies include sign-in and session cookies, streaming access cookies for authorised playback, and a cookie that stores whether you have accepted or declined optional analytics cookies.

Salvationist Radio - our live radio stream is operated by The Salvation Army. The player is supplied using Radio.co embedding technology. You do not need a subscription to listen. Radio.co may set its own cookies or collect technical data under their privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics 4 only if you accept optional cookies via the cookie banner or Manage cookies in the site footer. If you decline, we do not load Google Analytics. We record your choice (accepted or declined) in our database as aggregate counts only, without information that identifies you. See Google's Privacy Policy.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies however this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website. Use Manage cookies in the footer to change your analytics choice at any time.

Error monitoring

When something goes wrong, we use error monitoring provided by Sentry (data processed in the EU). We send technical information such as browser type, page URL, and error details. If you are signed in, we may also send an internal account identifier so our team can investigate faults affecting your account. We do not send your name or email address to Sentry. The identifier on its own cannot tell anyone who you are; it can only be linked to your account using our database, which Sentry does not have access to. For some errors we may record a short, masked replay of the page (text and images are masked). Error data is kept for a limited period in line with our Sentry project settings.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other third parties. When using these links to leave our site(s), we do not have any control over the other website.

Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

• When you sign up, you can choose whether to receive promotional emails.

Information sharing

We only disclose information to our employees and affiliates that need to know, to provide services, on our and your behalf. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organisations may be located outside of your home country. We also use service providers who process data on our instructions - for example payment and subscription providers, sign-in providers when you choose to use them, video and radio embed providers, analytics providers (only if you accept analytics cookies), error monitoring providers, and providers for hosting, storage, content delivery, email, and database services. In all other circumstances we will not sell, distribute, or release your personal information to third parties unless we are required to by law.
